WHAT???? Well after my Food Lion trip today I am thinking Food Lion is great on savings and finding close outs but not so great on customer service. The cashiers have always been wonderfully helpful...can't say that about their Sat. afternoon manager though! As I was shopping with a coupon buddy, I was approached and told (in the middle of an aisle) that there were DVR's be placed at all registers to try and catch fraudelent coupon users. I was stunned...seriously you think the homeschool mommy shopping with 4 kids has time to make fraudulent coupons and then come to the store and use them! Hehehe! I was too mad to laugh at the time but what an IDIOT! I will be contacting Food Lion customer service to tell them how silly (not to mention rude) that is and that they need to train their managers on couponing policies(especially their own since I was using Food Lion coupons). Lessons learned...#1 Be up to date on your store's coupon policy #2 If you are being watched in stores because you are saving that much with coupons you should really take it as a compliment and not as an insult...it's all money in your family's pocket!
Kendra, the one is Sevierville is not very nice either.. Cashier was very rude and I even ask her why was she so upset @ me saving money. You post how it goes. I only used the food lion printables and only used them as they said. I didnt leave & come back. The manager said they are people using fraudulant coupons but I showed him mine and he said they were fine.....Let us all know what you discover.... I am not gonna stop couponing ...Lesia
ReplyDeleteI couldnt believe they treated me like that..it really showed their managers inexperience!I hope you have better experiences...saving the money is definitely worth dealing with ignorance every once in awhile:)God bless them anyways!
